Testing

OVERVIEW

Before I purchased a new rack server, switch, UPS, etc., I wanted to do some testing with the Coraid appliance.

HARDWARE

NIC: I needed a 1 GB NIC and decided on a 3COM 3C2000-T.

OS: CentOS server on an old ASUS CUSL2 PIII

CONNECTION: Via a network cross-over cableand 9-pin serial cable. Minicom terminal application on the server. The appliance commands can be found at Coraid’s website.
